Jonathon L. Hoffman, 13 of Evansport, OH, died April 30 as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Born in Bowling Green on Feb. 4, 1977, he was a seventh grader at Tinora High School and a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler. Young Hoffman was also a member of the Henry County Barkers and Dudes & Duds 4-H clubs and the Defiance County Rough Riders 4-H Club. Surviving are his parents, Marvin and Diane Schwiebert of Hamler and Rick and Naomi Hoffman, of Evansport; brothers Douglas Hoffman of Evansport, and Michael Schwiebert of Hamler; sister, Kera Hoffman, of Evansport; stepbrothers, Christopher and Andrew Schwiebert both of Hamler, and grandparents, Julia Casey of Columbus; John Casey of Monroe, MI; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hoffman of Liberty Center; Mr and Mrs. Rudy Schwiebert, of Hamler and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Gerken of Napoleon. Services were held on May 3 in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Reb. Melvin Peter of Evansport United Methodist Church officiating.
