Funeral services for Lester Lawrence Hermon, 74, of McComb were held at Harley Funeral Home in McComb with the Rev. Kempton Oakes officiating. Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery. Hermon died July 10 at Marlesta Nursing Home in Findlay, where he had been a resident for six years. He was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Putnam County to Lester Dow and Hael (Rager) Hermon. He married Lois Rader on May 14, 1938, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Jeannette) Barrett of McComb; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Calvin, Paul and Eugene all of Lima; Francis of Deshler, Milan of Chelsea, Mich., Melvin and Harding both of McComb; a half brother, Sam Hermon of Racine, Wisc.; and three sisters, Mrs. Merrill (Fay) Arnold of Beaverdam; Mrs. Ralph (Naomi) Butler of Leipsic, and Mrs. Gerald (Katherine) Diller of Ottawa. Hermon was the owner and operator of Hermon Machine Shop, McComb until he retired in 1975.
