Funeral services for Violet Haas, 83, of Deshler, were held Tuesday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler with the Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs Haas died June 19 at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Center, Deshler. She was born Oct. 17, 1903, in Deshler to Charley and Stella (Stevenson) Parson. On June 9, 1920, she married Earl William Haas and he died March 3, 1986. Surviving are two sons Earl Jr., of Sun City, Ariz., and James Gary of Deshler; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Ward, of Monterey, Calif; a sister, Mrs Clarice Bogart, of Yucaipa, Calif; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs Haas was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Deshler.
