Funeral services for Frank J. Hillard, 65, of 228 E. Maple St., Deshler, were held at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, the Rev. Lehenbauer officiating. Mr. Hillard died Nov. 26 in Haskins to Claude and Millie (Champion) Hillard. He married Loretta Meyer on Feb. 23 1938 and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard J. of Whittier, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Donna) Combest of Findlay; nine grandchildren; a brother, Clarence A., of Rudolph; and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Eva) Barnes, of Deshler. He was a Deshler municipal employee and served as the village's police officer for three years. He also was a farmer. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
