W. Scott House, 74, vice president of Corn City State Bank here and former Deshler Chamber of Commerce president, died Sunday in his home of complications.
He was a member of the Deshler Masonic bodies, 50-year member of the Odd Fellows lodge, Deshler Methodist Church and was Deshler's first boy scout leader.
He began his business career in the clothing business. He sold his store after 36 years and joined an uncle in the hardware business for 25 years.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; son, Homer A., Toledo; sisters, Mrs. Edna Gribbell and Mrs. Helen Boyer, both of Deshler, and Mrs. Alma Ward, Kenton, and four grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Dubbs Mortuary, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
