James Hines Services Held
Retired B. & O. Engineer Dies Thursday
Joseph A. Hines, 62, retired Baltimore & Ohio Railroad engineer, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. George Hines, near Crestline, Thursday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. of complications.
Mr. Hines had been with the B. & O. for 25 years before retirement, and roomed heere until about hree weeks ago, when he went home. He was unmarried. He was born July 2, 1878, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hines, in Richland county.
Surviving, besides his mother, are three brothers, Steve, of willard, and Frand and Ferd Hines, at home, four sisters, Mary, Emma, and Frances Hines, of Crestline, and Sister Marietta, St. Vincent's Hospital, Toledo.
Services were held at the Sacred Heart Church, Shelby Resettlement, Monday at 9:30 a.m., with Fr. Rebair officiating. The body was returned to Deshler over the weekend to the Dubbs Funeral Funeral Home, and returned to Crestline in time for the services. Burial was in the church cemetery.
