Lloyd Hermon, 11 year old son of Dallas Hermon, a farmer living northwest of Gilboa, was instantly killed when a runaway horse kicked him in the head. He was rushed to Findlay Hospital, but physicians said death had been instantaneous. The horse's heels had struck the back of his head.
