Obituary: CHARLES E. GALLAGHER Charles E. Gallagher, 75, of Church St., Hoytville died Sunday, Dec. 15 at his residence. He was born March 10, 1916 in Terra Alta. W. Va. to Charles and Maude (Hartman) Hurd Gallagher. He married Eva Armstrong on Oct 13, 1943, and she survives. Mr. Gallagher retired form Norbalt Rubber Co. in North Baltimore, where he worked for 20 years. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Medical Corps. Also surviving are four sons, Junior and Charles, both of Findlay, Frederick and James, both of Hoytville; two daughters, Arlene Konts, Orlando, Fla., Sharon Thomas, Lelpsic; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers. B. T. Hurd, Toledo, Everett Hartman, Chillicothe; and a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Bertha) Manko, Upper Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, the Rev. Elgene Nichols officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
