Obituary: Hilda Knepper, 73, of rural Hamler, died July 31 at Defiance Hospital. She was born March 12, 1914 in Henry County to Valentine and Mary (Henry) Wesner. She married Virgil Knepper on Sept. 12, 1936 and he died Sept. 4, 1980. Surviving are a son, Larry of Napoleon; two daughters, Mrs Robert Leannah) Reigle of Columbus Grove, Mrs. Walker (Bonnie) Forester of Hicksville; a brother, Chester Wesner of Hamler; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Elliott of Hicksville; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Aug. 2 at Snyder Funeral Home in Holgate with the Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating.
