Dennis "Chief" Hendricks, 79, of 417 W. Main Street, Deshler, died June 13 in his residence. Mr. Hendricks was born July 11, 1911, in Fort Gibson, Okla., to Nelson and Susie (McClain) Hendricks. He married Blanche Brandt on Oct. 31, 1937 and she died Nov. 27, 1989. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Henry (Isa) Kinder, of Deshler, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Hendricks retired in 1977 as a pipefitter with Wheeling Steel Co., Steubenville. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Funeral services were held on June 14 at Snyder-Bloor Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Marilyn Chivington officated. Graveside services were held in the Kilgore Cemetery, Kilgore with the Rev. Randy Cettorellal officiating.
