Funeral services for Chloe A. Houser, 94, of McClure were held Monday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler with the Rev. Steve Clymer officiating. Burial was in Hockman Cemetery, McClure. Mrs. Houser died June 19 at her home. She had been in failing health for several months. She was born April 19, 1893 in Richfield Township to Harvey E. and Elizabeth (Harbough) Hadley. On Oct. 31, 1913, she married Clyde Houser, and he died Oct. 11, 1971. Surviving are two sons, Galen of McClure, and Herbert of Orlando, Fl.; two daughter, Mrs. Karl (Ruth) Barnes, McClure, and Mrs. James (Marille) Russell of Leipsic; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Houser was a homemaker. She was a life member of Robert McMillen Legion Auxiliary, McClure Friendship Club, McClure Senior Citizens, Richfield Grange and McClure Christian Union Church.
