Edna M. Gribbell, 98, died Monday afternoon at Oak Grove Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 27, 1886, in Fremont to Homer L. and Cara (Gilson) House. She married Fred Gribbell on Aug. 16, 1913, and he died Sept. 6, 1949.
Surviving are two sons, Justin J. of Deshler and Marsden H., Cincinnati; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Rose Mary) Crosby, Leipsic; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Boyer, Deshler, and Mrs. Alma Ward, Kenton.
Mrs. Gribbell was a housewife and a former teacher in the Deshler school system from 1905 to 1913. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Deshler, and the United Methodist Church Women.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) in Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home with the Rev. George Font officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
