Lee Hatfiled, a prominent B & O freight conductor was killed by falling from his train west of Garrett. Mr. Hatfield had lived in Deshler while running on local, but afterwards moved to Fostoria. He was standing on top of a box car while the train was in motion and fell off, being killed instantly.
