Obituary: Mrs. Velma Zernhel, 63, of 112 S. Vine St., died at 2:30 p. m. Monday in Blanchard Valley Hospital after an illness of one year. She was born Oct. 21, 1897, in Hoytville, the daughter of Adolph and Mary Ann (Stimmel) Herman. Sher was married to Cloyce Zernhel in 1918, and he survives. Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. Betty Lee Zeltner, Cygnet, and Mrs. Jo Ann Abbott, Deshler; sons John G. and Herman D., Hoytville; a sister, Mrs. Nora Burke, Deshler; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Zernhel was a member of St. Paul's EUB Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. Services are at 2 p. m. Thursday in Dubbs Funeral Home. The Rev. T. E. Donough and the Rev. Emerson Iles will officiate with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
