Helen C. Boyer. 100, of Deshler, died Wednesday. March 22, 2000 at Oak Grove Center.
She was born Nov. 15, 1899, in Deshler to Homer and Carrie (Gilson) House. She married Charles Boyer on Nov. 10. 1927, and he died in December, 1960.
She was a homemaker and attended Ohio Weslyan University and graduated from Defiance College. She also taught in the Deshler schools and was a member of the Deshler First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Mary Jo), of Bryan; daughter, Virginia (Jim) Egan, of Columbus: 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were her son, Scott; brothers, Rufus and Scott House, and sisters, Alma Ward, Maude Shank, Edna Gribbell, Mildred King, and Florence Young.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, in the Rodenberger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kathleen Richards officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
