Funeral services for Harold E. Grater were held at Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure with the Rev. Paul Merritt officiating. Burial was in Grelton Cemetery. Grater died July 25 in Henry County Hospital, Napoleon. He was born Feb. 19, 1909, in Henry County to Charles and Harriet (Ballard) Grater. He married Frances Lange on Aug. 20, 1940 and she died Jan. 24, 1960. He then married Virginia Charles on Dec. 29, 1963 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald of Delta and Charles of McClure; three daughters, Marcella Wright of Bowling Green, Norma Grater of McClure and Mrs. Gary (Mary Ann) Wallen of Albuquerque, NM.; and a brother, James of Plymouth, Mich., a sister, Mrs. Charles (Myra) Little of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; and three grandchildren. Grater was a farmer. He was a member of the Henry County Farm Bureau and Wesleyan Church, Napoleon.
