Obituary: Last Rites for Joe Gibson, 59 Josie L. Gibson, 59, of 123 E. Plum St., Deshler, died unexpectedly of a heart attack last Thursday afternoon at his home. He had been in failing health two years. Born Oct. 13, 1903, in Putnam County, he was the son of Leroy and Iona (Butler) Gibson. He married Marian McMillan in 1926 and she died in 1942. In 1944 he married Rose Holloway and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert, Deshler; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert Rower, Sylvania; a step-son, David Holloway, Deshler; sisters, Mrs. Hurley George, Leipsic; and Mrs. Chell Watkins, Green Springs; a brother, Russell, Hamler; and 12 grandchildren. A resident of Deshler 36 years, Mr. Gibson was a retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad employee. He was a member of St. Paul’s EUB Church. Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Dubbs Funeral Home. The Rev. T. E. Donaugh officiated with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
