Walter F. Cohrs, 76, a resident of Country View Haven for eight years, and a former Monroe Township resident, died Oct. 25, in the Henry County Hospital. Born on March 1, 1915, he was the son of Herman and Della (Gerding) Cohrs. Mr. Cohrs had been a farmer and employee of Cohrs Drainage & Ditching for a number of years, and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church Hamler. Surviving are his sisters, Mildred Sonnenberg and Norman Smotherman, both of Liberty Center, and brothers, Elmer and Ronald both of the Napoleon area. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Herman Jr., Eldor and Edwin. Services were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hamler. Rev. Duane Fluechtling officiated. Interment was at the church cemetery.
