Alma House Ward, 100, died Sunday, Nov. 30, at Grace Brethren Village Nursing Home, of Dayton.
She was born Oct. 27, 1897, the daughter of Homer L. House, a Deshler banker and founder of the Corn City State Bank. She was born and raised in Deshler, and married John F. Ward, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ward graduated from Bowling Green State University and taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in Henry County.
She is survived by her son, Donald, of Lima; daughters, Helen G. Stevens, of Dayton; Mary Stock, of Wichita, Kan.; Agnes I. Decker, of Sebrlng, Fla., and Jessie Campbell, of Cincinnati; sister, Helen Boyer, of Deshler; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchlld.
She also was preceded in death by her sons, John and Lawrence.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Heart Association.
