Frank G. Guelde, 86 of rural Napoleon, died Saturday. Born in Hamler on March 15, 1904, he was the son of Herman and Doreta (Boight) Guelde. On Aug. 20, 1945 he married Helen Kestner, and she preceded him in death. He was a retired employee of Sylvania GTE, in Ottawa, and a former member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Hamler. Surviving are his son, Ted Meier, of Lincolnton, NC; daughters, Betty Rosebrook, of Denver, and Joyce Sprowl and Vicki Masters, both of Napoleon; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were a son, Jack Meier, brothers, William, Fred, Henry, Herman, Carl and Edward; sisters Augusta Collier and Lillian Darby and two grandchildren. Services were held Jan. 22, in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon. Rev. William McCabe of the McClure St. Paul;s Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
