Funeral services for John P. Greve, 24, of Ottawa, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Greve died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, in Durham, N.C., The cause of death is under investigation, but no information was available Sunday from the Durham (N.C,) Police Department or medical examiner's office. He was born Jan. 19, 1967 in Lima to Wilbur and Mary (Freund) Greve. His parents survive in Ottawa. Also surviving are five brothers, Robert of New Bavaria; Ronald, Thomas, William, and Daniel all of Ottawa; and three sisters, Shirley Brown and Mrs. Norbert (Mary Kay) Siefer, both of Ottawa; Mrs. Richard (Rebecca) Eickholt of Ottoville. Mr. Greve was employed at Greve Tree Service in Ottawa. A 1986 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School, he was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.
