Frances E. Degler, 71, of Sebring, Florida died Feb. 11. Mrs. Degler was born in Napoleon on Oct. 12, 1918 to Fred and Imogene (Schultz) Gebers. On Feb. 1, 1939, she married Paul Degler and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Melvin of Napoleon and Russell of Hamler; two daughters, Norma Helmke of Defiance and Emma Goller of Holgate, two sisters, Hildegard Handy of Lakewood and Jenny Weirich of Napoleon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald, in 1983 and two grandsons. Mrs. Degler was a retired employee of Campbell Soup Co., in Napoleon, a former member of Napoleon's Emanuel Lutheran Church, and a current member of Sebring's Faith Lutheran Church. Services were held Feb 15 in the Walker Mortuary, in Napoleon, Rev. Robert Weis of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Florida officiating. Interment was in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance.
