Clara Aukerman, 107, of Marlesta Nursing Home and formerly of Deweyville died Nov. 10 at the nursing home, where she had resided for 14 years. She was born Dec. 27, 1879 in Wayne County to Aaron and Emma (harbaugh) Gault. She married Wallace Bert Aukerman on Feb. 24, 1901 and he died Sept. 4, 1960. She is survived by a son, Clarence of McComb; three daughters, Forence Haddox of McComb, Esther Wymer of Kendallville, Ind., and Mrs. Luther (Betty) weaver of Leipsic; 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren and several great-great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Aukerman was a homemaker. She was a member of Deweyville Church of God , its Ladies Aid Society, and the Shawtown Grange. A funeral service was held Nov. 13 at Hartley Funeral Home in McComb with the Rev. Richard Barrell officiating Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery.
