Obituary: Funeral services for Harold E. Gordon, 78, of 211 E. Elm St., Deshler, were held last Monday at Bloor Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Everett Mills officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Mr. Gordon died at 9:10 pm, Friday in Oak Grove Manor Nursing Home, Deshler. He was born Jan. 17, 1905, in Galesburg, Ill., to Fred and Mary (Hall) Gordon. He married Luella E. Hook on Dec. 19, 1923, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald of Hoytville; Jack B., of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Marcine) Hinger, Perrysburg; Mrs. Fred (Doris) Bruns, Plant City, Fla.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Cleo McClish, Findlay. Mr. Gordon retired in 1965 as a carpenter for the Chessie Railroad System. He was a former member of the Deshler Eagles.
