Funeral services for Maude Jane Collins, 83, of Hamler, were held at St. Paul Catholic Church, Hamler, the Rev. Richard Notter officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Collins died at the Community Nursing Center, Marion. She was born Dec. 9, 1897, in Armington, Ill., to Simon and Clara (Daley) Gordon. On Nov. 7, 1928, she married Glen E. Collins who died Oct. 25, 1975. Surviving are two sons, John E. of Marion; Thomas V. of Santa Ana, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Collins of Deshler; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Collins was a retired school teacher. She taught in Hamler, Deshler and Holgate County schools. She was a member of the church.
