Mrs. Enos Zernhel closed her life's work at her home in the west side of town, just at the birth of the new day on Sunday, February 7th. Her illness covered a period of several weeks, death being due to a complication of ailments, superinduced by her advanced years.

Services were conducted from Catholic church in Deshler, Tuesday morning, in charge of Rev. Father Shaffer of Hamler, after which Rader & Spangler, morticians, made interment in Woodlawn cemetery.
Mrs. Rosa Zernhel, daughter of Peter Henry and Lena Luceil Goodfrind was born in the trans-Atlantic province of Alsace Lorraine, April 27, 1852 and departed this life, February 7, 1926, having attained the age of 73 years, 9 months and 27 days. May 12, 1876 she was united in marriage to Enos Zernhel, and to this union were born seven children, three girls and four boys, two of the seven having preceded her to the spirit world.
The deceased leaves to mourn, the husband and companion, five children and eight grandchildren, besides many neighbors and friends who realize that a kindly mother has gone.
Mr. and Mrs. Zernhel left the 'Fatherland' for the American shores 48 (?) years ago and therefore have spent the prime years of their lives on American soil.
