Obituary: Sara (Sally) L. Rutter, 74, of Deshler, died in Wood County Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 7. She was born on Sept. 29, 1925, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Lloyd and Ada (Scheid) Greiner. On Aug. 27, 1946, she married Donald R. Rutter and he survives. She worked for 22 years in the cafeteria for Patrick Henry Schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, former Secretary of the Bartlow Township Historical Society, and attended the Deshler United Methodist Church. Also surviving are her sons, Allen, of Lambertville, Mich.: Ronald, of Deshler, and Douglas, of Leipsic: daughter, Marsha Contreras, of Bloomdale; brother, Charles F. Greiner, of Toledo: 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 11, in the Rodenberger Funeral Home, with the Rev. R. L. Barnett officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Deshler United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
