Guy H. Fretwell, 81, of Hamler, died on Mar. 1, at the Lutheran Home in Napoleon. He was born in Monterville WV, on April 18, 1908 to William and Mary (Moore) Fretwell. On Jan. 1, 1933, he married Lavaughn Trott and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Nancy Kilkman of Austin, TX, Bette Busch of Hamler, and Marinella Baird of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Edna Poling of Manning, SC and Susan Bell of Valley Bend, WV; a brother, Clare of Rittman; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Fretwell was a retired employee of Phillips at Ottawa and the former owner-operator of Gamble Hardware at Leipsic for 15 years. He was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, FL. Services were held Mar. 4 in the Snyder Funeral Home, Leipsic, Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating. Interment was in Leipsic's Sugar Ridge Cemetery.
