Mary Roseltha Buchanan was born in Shelby county, Ohio, Dec. 29th, 1855, and departed this life in her Deshler home, Feb. 9th, 1925, having attained the age of 69 years, 1 month and 10 days.
She was a daughter of the well-known R. W. C. and Hannah Buchanan, both deceased, and who resided two miles east of Deshler many years ago.
April 17th, 1873, she was united in marriage to John Farquaharson, who preceded to the 'Great Beyond,' only about a year and a half ago.
Those left to mourn are two daughters, Mrs. Maude Tussinger of Deshler, Mrs. Seldon Slane of North Baltimore, a foster daughter, Mrs. George Crouch of Deshler.
Also, two sons Robert and Don of Deshler, and to this number sixteen grand children and two great grandchildren are added.
Then three sisters, Mrs. McFadden, Mrs. Van Horn, and Mrs. Kline, and two brothers, J. D. and R. W. C. Buchanan.
To this list is added a long line of sympathetic neighbors and friends, who very keenly feel that a great loss is sustained in the realm, where she was most familiar.
