Alonzo Fry, aged about seventeen years, and a step-son of Mr. William Hill, living one and a quarter miles southwest of town, died Wednesday afternoon of uremic poison. The circumstances surrounding the death of this boy are peculiar. Some three weeks ago he was in Belmore where he traded his boots and overcoat for a pony. He rode the animal home bare-footed and without any wraps on. It was a stinging cold day and the little fellow was almost frozen when he reached home. This started his ailment from which he never rallied.
