Obituary: Henry E. Conklin, 51, of Route 1, McClure, died last Thursday morning in Wood County Hospital. Born Jan. 29, 1912, in Wood County, he was the son of Horton and Carrie (Funk) Conklin. He married Florence Marie May in 1935 and she survives. Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. Margaret Hoops, Deshler, and Miss Dale Marie Conklin, at home, a son, Henry L., Lorain, his mother, Mrs. Carrie Souvenier, Weston, a sister, Mrs. Mary Travis, Weston, a brother, Horton, Napoleon, step-brothers, Fred and Bernard Souvenier, Weston, and two grandchildren. Mr. Conklin was a shovel operator for the Maumee Stone Co. at Lima City. Services were at 2 P.M. Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church near Deshler. The Rev. Otto Ehlen officiated with burial in Weston Cemetery.
