Alvina M. Lange, 92, of Napoleon died Wednesday, April 10 in the Henry County Hospital. Born in Bartlow Township on April 10, 1899. She was the daughter of Williamand Mary (Binger) Fintel. On Sept. 23, 1920, she married Carl H. Lange and he died Nov. 29, 1989. She and her husband farmed in the Hamler area until their retirement in 1963. They moved to Napoleon in 1981. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, rural Hamler and its Women of the Church group. She was a former employee of the Wire Factory of Wauseon and the Boss Glove Factory. Surviving are her sons, Eugene of Kissimmee, Fla., and Victor and Paul, both of Napoleon; brothers William Fintel of Hamler and Arthur Fintel of Deshler; 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Martin, Ernest and August Fintel; sisters, Helen Fintel, Marie Junge and Clara Hahn; half-sisters, Emma Hoops, Ida Prigge and Anna Bruns and a granddaughter. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hope Lutheran Church, rural Hamler. Rev. Norman Norden officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.
