Mrs. Ada E. Prowant, 61, of 4260 State Rt. 6, Vickery, Ohio passed away in Memorial Hospital, Fremont, Ohio on Sept. 29. Mitchell-Auster Funeral Home, Clyde, is in charge of arrangements. Services will be Oct.2 with Rev. Tyrone Prowant of Ansonia, Ohio, officiating Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Mrs. Prowant was born to Frank Firman and Ollie Jones on March 5, 1920 in Deshler. She was raised in Deshler. On June 3, 1939 she married John C. Prowant and he survives. Most of her married life was spent in Deshler and Vickery. She has two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Carol) Mitchell of Vickery, and Mrs. Hilliard (Virginia) McCloud of Defiance, one son, John C. Prowant of Defiance. One daughter is deceased. She has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived also by three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Donna) Kline of Hoytville, Mrs. Ruth Kline of Deshler, Mrs. Thelma Streeter of Columbus Grove; and one brother, Frank Firman of Ayersville. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. She was a former member of United Brethren Church, Deshler. She has always been a homemaker, and has been ill for three years.
