Ethel Monthaven, 73, Died After Illness
Mrs. Ethel C. Monthaven, 73, of Route 1, Deshler, died at 2:30 p. m. Monday in her home after, an illness of four years.
She was born March 22, 1893 in Deshler, the daughter of Sidney and Orpha (Vanaman) Egbert. She was married to Allen G. T. Monthaven in 1914 and he survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. Russell Yantz and Mrs. John Watson, both of Deshler, and six grandchildren: Marilyn and Patricia Yantz of Toledo, Russell Alan Yantz of Deshler, Brant Watson, Tallahassee, Fla., John and Richard Watson of Deshler.
Mrs. Monthaven was a member of the Deshler Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, and the Order of Eastern Star.
Services are at 2 p. m.Thursday in the Methodist Church, the Rev. David Cole officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dubbs Funeral Home after 7 p. m. Tuesday.
