Obituary: EMMA K. DIGBY Emma K. Digby, 71, of Grand Rapids died Thursday, Dec. 5 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. Born in Malinta Dec. 22, 1919, she was the daughter of William and Emma (Junge) Peper. On July 20, 1937, she married Frederick 'Ted' Digby, and he preceded her in death July 12, 1975. She was a retired employee of the Johns-Manvllle and Reimer corporations and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Waterville, Grand Rapids O.E.S. #356, the Rebekah Lodge and Providence Grange. Surviving are two sons, Dale of Goldsboro, N.C., and Joe of Grand Rapids; two daughters, Geraldine Hartman of Liberty Center and Jean Knipp of Napoleon; a sister, Alvina Hartman of Malinta; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also preceding her death were three brothers, one in infancy, and Fremont and Carl Peper; and two sisters, Leona Latta and Joan Delventhal. Services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Wright Funeral Home of Grand Rapids, Rev. Stephen Bouerer officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Grand Rapids.
