Prudence Dangler, 89, of Deshler, died Jan. 16 in Blanchard Valley Hospital. Mrs. Dangler was born Aug. 3, 1900 in Deshler to Fred and Lula (Scheib) Jameson. She married Chester Dangler on May 1, 1920, and he died April 28, 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Joy) Rayle of Deshler; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Dangler retired in 1965 after teaching eight years in the Henry Township School in Wood County. She attended Bowling Green State University and was a member of the Fort Findlay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Deshler Art League, and St. Paul United Methodist Church in Deshler. She was an honorary member of the Deshler Garden Club. Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler, with the Rev. Marilyn Chivington officiating. Burial was in Harman Cemetery, Gilboa.
