Former Deshlerite William F. Dunn, 83, of 4 Park Court, Napoleon, died in Lake Park Nursing Home, Toledo. He was president of Napoleon Lumber Company, Inc. Born April 1, 1898, in Wood County, he was the son of George and Ida (Bergman) Dunn. He married Ruby Rutter on Nov. 27, 1922, and she survives. Mr. Dunn started in the lumber business after graduating in 1922 from Tiffin Business University. He worked for E. R. Lytle Lumber Company, Deshler, until 1953, when he purchased Thiesen-Hilldred Lumber Company, Napoleon, incorporating the business and renaming it Napoleon Lumber Company. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Napoleon Chamber of Commerce and Deshler Masonic and Odd Fellows lodges, and a former member of the Deshler Board of Public Affairs. A son, William, preceded him in death. Services were conducted at Walker Mortuary. The Rev. H. Glenn Crabtree officiated and burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
