Obituary: A funeral mass for Carlos Hernandez Sr. 32, of Leipsic and his daughter, Sonia Hernandez, 7, will be said at St.. Mary's Catholic Church in Leipsic with the Rev. Al Miorin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Love Funeral Home in Leipsic. Hernandez was born June 4, 1955 in Lima to Ernesto and Guadalupe (Rayes) Hernandez, Sr. and his parents survive in West Leipsic. He married Lydia Garcia on Sept. 28, 1974 and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Carlos, Jr. and Nickolas both at home, and Gabriel Lomli of Leipsic; two brothers, Ernesto, Jr. and Jerry both of Leipsic; four sisters, Mrs. Bernie (Yolanda) Shively, Mrs. Dennis (Erma) Hardy, Mrs. Andy (Gloria) Rayna Jr., and Linda Hernandez all of Leipsic; and a paternal grandparent, Guadalupe Hernandez of Glandorf. Hernandez was employed at Metal Forge in Deshler. He had worked for GM in Defiance. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.
