Obituary: Walter Adam Max, 21, was killed instantly when working as a lineman. He was shocked by a 2,300 volt current from a Defiance Gas and Electric wire. His safety belt prevented the body from falling 30 feet from the pole. Max had removed a transformer from the pole and was readjusting the wires when the fatal contact was made through his left hand and right shoulder.
