Obituary: Robert E. Dishong, 67, of Lind Street, Deshler, died Sept. 8 at his residence. He had been in failing health for a year. He was born June 12, 1921, in Deshler to Floyd and Hester (Boyer) Dishong. He married Tamano Tsujikawa on May 9, 1955, and she died April 26, 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Carol Jean) Bishop, of Worthington and Karen Jane Dishong of Columbus; a brother, John, of McComb; and a sister, Mrs. Lester (Donna) Badertsher, Bluffton. Dishong retired in 1985 from Metal Forge, Deshler. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Deshler. Funeral services were held Sept. 10 at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Yenser officiating. Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the National Cancer Research Institute in Columbus.
