Obituary: Alta M. Wagner, 94, of 1682 Sands Rd., Deshler, died Sept. 15 at Wood County Hospital. She had been in failing health for six months. She was born Aug. 6, 1893 in Jackson Township, Wood County, to James and Mary (Ferguson) Donaldson. On March 15, 1913, she married Ray Wagner, and he died Dec. 21, 1959. Surviving are a daughter, Reva Hutchison, North Baltimore; two sons, Milford Wagner of McComb and Allen Bowers of Deshler; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ernest Donaldson of McComb and Elza Donaldson of Deshler. Mrs. Wagner was a lifelong member of former Jackson Bethel Church of God in Jackson Township. She was a member of Deweyville Church of God, and was a charter member of the WCSC of the church. Funeral services were held Sept. 18 at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler with the Rev. Richard Barrell officiating. Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery.
