Anise D. Shade, 93, formerly of Custar, died Sept. 14 in Friendship Village Health Center in Columbus. She was born Jan. 15, 1896, in McArthur, Ohio., to James and Sarah (Hahn) Davis. On Nov. 30, 1935, she married Alden Shade, and he died June 18, 1967. Surviving are two sisters, Ola Dixon of Columbus and Lela Hudson of Royal Oak, Mich., and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Shade was a Doctor of Naturopathy for many years, retiring in 1983, and a former member and elder of First Presbyterian Church in Milton. Services were held Sept 17 at First Presbyterian Church in Milton Center with the Rev. James Shotwell officiating. Interment was in Weston Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, was in charge of arrangements.
