Obituary: Military rites for Floyd M. Dishong, 54, Hoytville farmer, who died Monday in St. Vincent's Hospital, Toledo, were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Dubbs Funeral Home, Deshler, and at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Brethren, near Deshler. The pastor, Rev. M. I. Shuck, officiated. The Deshler American Legion Post conducted the military rites. Interment was in McComb cemetery, McComb. Mr. Dishong died following an operation which he underwent three weeks ago, it was reported. He was born in Hoytville, Aug. 17, 1895, a son of Elias and Ella (Inmann) Dishong. He married Theresa Harris, and she survives together with five children. Surviving beside the wife Theresa, are daughters, Mrs. Delores Heinzie, Weston; Lorraine, at home; sons, Howard and Wayne, Deshler; stepson, Gerald Strohl, Hoytville; step-daughter, Janice Strohl, Hoytville; brother, Floris, Deshler; and two grandchildren. Mr. Dishong was a member of the American Legion.
