Mr. John Donovan passed away June 13th. He was a graduate of Lebanon College, Lebanon, Ohio and of Adrian College, Adrian, Michigan. He was a graduate of Dental Surgery of the University of Cincinnati. He taught in the public schools. He was an accountant and was connected with the Corn City State Bank for a number of years. He also operated a retail grocery store in Deshler for many years. He served an appointment as postmaster under the administration of President Cleveland. two terms as Mayor, and held the office of Justice of the Peace for many years.
