Obituary: Pearl M. Powell, 94, of Deshler, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. Mrs. Powell was born Aug. 16, 1902, in Wood County to William and Clara Belle (Bergman) Donald. She married Edward C. Powell on June 21, 1922, and he died Dec. 12, 1992. Mrs. Powell was a homemaker. She graduated in 1922 from Deshler High School and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Deshler. Surviving are her sons, Howard, Sr. of Deshler, and William, of Leipsic; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Dorothy and Louise Powell, and sister, Esther Donald. Funeral services were held Tuesday In the Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with the Rev. Marilyn Chivington officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Memorials may be made to the church. (Note: Edward Powell's obituary gives his date of death as December 30, 1992, which is probably correct.)
