VIVIAN O. CLYMER
Vivian G. Clymer, 85, of Napoleon died early Tuesday morning. Nov. 12 at Sylvanla's Flower Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Liberty Township of Henry County April 15, 1906, to Amos and Melva (Kocher) Clymer.
A 1923 graduate of Napoleon High School, she received her bachelor degree in education from Bowling Green State University in 1939. beginning her teaching career of 41 years in the one-room schoolhouses of Deshler, Malinta and Napoleon. She then taught in Napoleon City and Ridgeville Corners schools for a number of years, retiring in 1969.
She was a member of Napoleon's First Presbyterian Church, where she formerly taught Sunday School, the American Association of University Women, the Republican Women's Club and the National Ohio and Henry County Retired Teachers associations.
Surviving are a twin sister, Vernice Clymer of Napoleon and a niece, Keitha Carver of Lelpsic.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Conine in November of 1967.
Services were held Nov. 15 in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon. Rev. Robert Jansen officiated. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon. Memorials may be made to the church memorial fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
