Obituary: CLARA COURTNEY Clara Ellen Courtney, 79, of Deshler, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born May 6, 1935, in Bartlow Township to the late Edgar and Ruth (Miller) Coldren. On July 25, 1954, she married Clifford Courtney at the former Deshler E.U.B. Church and he died on Nov. 3, 1998. Mrs. Courtney graduated from Deshler High School in 1953. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church, Deshler, and the secretary for the Henry County Genealogical Society for over 25 years. Surviving are her children, Gary (Shayla), of Ottawa; Jerry (Beth), of Napoleon; Connie (Dean) Rickenberg, of Malinta, and Craig (Robin), of Deshler; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 6 step-grandchildren; and 3 step-greatgrandchildren She was also preceded in death by her brother, Cyril Coldren. Funeral services were held May 4 in the Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Pastor Jeff Bandy officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
