Carl H. Scott, Sr. 67, of Park St., Deshler died at 11:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at the VA Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born June 19, 1924 in Paulding County to John M. and Martha G. (Campbell) Scott. He married Doris I. Baringer on Dec. 20, 1947 and she died Oct. 12, 1990. Mr. Scott was retired from Tulsa Oil Co. in Detroit, Mich. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Rose Hill Church of God, Paulding. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Cheryl) Kinder of Deshler; a son, Carl H. or Fort Wayne, Ind., a brother; James M. of Defiance; and two sisters. Mrs. Audus (Lela) Runyan, and Leah Andrist, both of Defiance. He was preceded in death by four daughters, Elaine, Coleen, Lynette and Kathy Scott; and a brother George H. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec 9 at Rose Hill Church of God, Paulding, the Rev. Randall Merritte officiating. Burial was in Hill Cemetery, Ayersville. Arrangements were handled by Dubba-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
