Cecil B. Kistner, 87, of Route 1, McClure, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, July 21, at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Home, Deshler. He had been in failing health since 1984. He was born Feb. 16, 1904, in Richfield Township, Henry County to August Benjamin and Etta (Creager) Kistner. He married Grace Kidwell on Oct. 24, 1923 and she died June 11, 1978. Surviving are a son, Robert of Monclova; two daughters. Robert (Esther) Haas, Toledo; Mrs. Gehrett (Mary Etta) Tussinger, Ottawa; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ross of McClure; and two sisters, Mrs. Chester (Florence) Wulff; Portage; and Mrs. Lawrence (Nellie) Stinehart, Weston. Mr. Kistner was a retired farmer. He attended Bethany Christian Union Church, McClure. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Dubba-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. James Richey officiated. Burial was in Richfield Township Cemetery.
