Funeral services for Gerald C. Cook, 60, of Bloomdale, were held at Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria with the Rev. Thomas Hoppe officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens near Arcadia. Cook died Sept. 23 following a truck accident near Williamson, W. Wa. He was born June 28, 1927 in Hancock County to Howard and Mary (Compton) Cook. He married Lucy Hale on Aug. 1, 1961, and she survives in Bloomdale. Also surviving are five sons, Steven H. of Bloomdale; Gary L. of Custar, Kevin L. and Randy J., both of Sioux City, Iowa, and Greg A. of Arcadia; four daughters, Deborah S. Carson of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Michael (Susan) Benson of Prattsville, Ala., Robin R. Riley of South Sioux City, Neb., and Cheryl Cook of Bloomdale; two brothers, Roland of Arcadia and Clair of Fostoria; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Jeannette) Swartzlander of Fairborn, Mrs. Joe (Scarlet) Iber of Chinkville, Pa., and Mrs Sherry DeCenso of Yorktown, Va.; 18 grandchildren. Cook was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force in World War II.
